| synopsis: I did a senior thesis at Boston College under Computer Science from the fall of 1997 to the spring of 1998. This thesis underwent some pretty severe rapid development, but never really panned out into a finished product or even a working version. Essentially, it was a modularly built client-server system infrastructure that supported on-line learning by combining the ability to use groupware-style applications and on-line media. Since then I have done some re-design on the system and had some additional thoughts in the matter. I'm still pondering what it would take to rebuild the system with the current specs and go from there. One possibility is to move the whole system to a mud-like
environment adding the abilities to do "labs". But I'm not really
keen on this because it would cause instructors to build the labs
using a langage. comments: |
