March of the Penguins

What a really fantastic movie! S and I saw it at the Loews on Church St. in Harvard Square. There were dozens of small children there and occasionally through the movie we could hear parents saying things to their children like, "See the baby penguin?" and "See the baby penguin learn to walk?" It was neat--definitely worth watching on the big screen with people all around you.

The Two Towers

It's an excellent movie. While I'm at it, the extended version of the Fellowship of the Ring is totally amazing. They added footage that really fills it out and gives it additional dimension. It also makes it impossible to sit through in one sitting--take a bathroom break between discs.
